What is the best way to make money on YouTube?
Step 1:Join to be a YouTube Partner.
Regular YouTubers can access unique features on the platform through the YouTube Partner Program. Make money on YouTube.
To make money on YouTube, you don’t need to be a partner (simply setting up an AdSense account and receiving views will be enough), but becoming a Partner makes things a lot easier.
YouTube Partners have access to various revenue streams, including video adverts, YouTube Premium subscription fees, and services like Super Chat, channel memberships, and the merchandise shelf that directly tap into your dedicated fans’ wallets (more on these later.)
Start a YouTube channel
Channels you can subscribe to
YouTube Gaming memberships are now linked to YouTube as of July 2018. You can find more information here.
You can subscribe to your favorite channels and enjoy all the content they have to offer. A Subscribe option can be found under any YouTube video or on the channel page. When you subscribe to a channel, new videos are automatically added to your Subscription feed.
Sign up for a channel subscription
- Go to m.YouTube.com or open the YouTube app.
- Go to YouTube and log in.
- If you’re on the Home tab, tap the channel icon below the video of the channel you want to subscribe to.
- Subscribe by tapping the Subscribe button.
- If you’re watching a video of a channel you want to subscribe to, follow these steps:
- To subscribe, go to the bottom of the video and click the Subscribe button.
- Once you have subscribed to a channel, a list of recommended channels will appear on the screen. These tips are based on related channels that you aren’t subscribed to yet. You can always check the contents of a channel before subscribing.
When you get notifications,
When you subscribe to a channel, we will only send you notifications about the highlights of that channel. By changing your notification settings, you can choose to be notified whenever the track releases new content.
Notification settings will be reset if you unsubscribe from a channel and then subscribe again.
If a channel is set as made for kids, you will not receive notifications.
Unsubscribe from a particular channel
Go to YouTube and log in.
To unsubscribe from a channel, go to a video of the track you want to unsubscribe from.
Tap Subscribed, then Unsubscribe under the video player.
You will see a notification at the bottom of the screen confirming that your subscription has been canceled.
You can also start getting notifications when a channel you’re subscribed to posts new content. We will only send channel highlights by default. Find out how to manage your messages.
Step 2: Make your YouTube channel successful enough to qualify for the YouTube Partner Program.
Make money on YouTube: A minimum of 1,000 members and 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months are required to join the program.
Here are some ideas for increasing the number of views on YouTube.
Step 3: Create a Google AdSense account.
This is straightforward. Follow YouTube’s official AdSense account guide.
Step 4: Experiment with your new monetization options.
Make money on YouTube; Each monetization channel has its own set of eligibility criteria. Consider the following example:
You must be at least 18 years old and create content appealing to advertisers to earn ad money. Simply put, the less contentious your videos are, the more comfortable YouTube advertisers will be running adverts on them, and the more money you’ll make.
If a YouTube Premium subscriber watches your video, you will receive a percentage of their monthly money. (It’s good that this one is automatic.)
You must be at least 18 years old and have over 30,000 subscribers to sell channel memberships to your subscribers (i.e., your fans opt to pay you an additional fee).
Merchandise shelf: You must be at least 18 years old and have 10,000 followers to sell merch through YouTube’s merchandise shelf.
Super Chat payments: You must be at least 18 years old to allow your fans to pay to have their messages highlighted in your live chats during your live streams (and live in a country where the feature is offered).
Step 5: Participate in continuous reviews.
As a YouTube Partner, make money on YouTube, your channel will be held to a higher standard. Not only must you follow the YouTube Partner Program’s standards, but also the Community Guidelines. Not to mention staying within the bounds of copyright legislation.
Join the affiliate program as a partner
Look for organizations that invest in affiliate marketing if your YouTube audience is loyal and engaged but not quite there in terms of numbers. Make money on YouTube.
Businesses’ YouTubers encourage their viewers to visit the brand’s online store or specific product pages. They get paid a portion of sales made through their affiliate links, as you might have predicted.
Affiliate partnerships are comparable to sponsored content deals in terms of setup and logistics, following the procedures from tip #3.
Make it possible for your fans to pay you directly.
Host live chats where Super Chat can be used.
Super Chat replaced YouTube’s prior Fan Funding feature in early 2017. This is a feature that only YouTube Partners can use when live streaming.
Make money on YouTube. Your viewers can make their comments more apparent in the live chat stream by highlighting and pinning them for a defined amount of time, depending on how much they pay.
Make and sell your own merch
Make money on YouTube. Perhaps you consider yourself a content producer first and an entrepreneur second. (Keep in mind that even Drake has a t-shirt line.)
Alternatively, if you’re a business owner first and a video producer second, you undoubtedly already have a product and are planning your YouTube marketing strategy to promote it.
In any way, selling merchandise on YouTube is a feasible way to make money.
Step 1: Create your product by imagining and designing it.
Your channel’s merchandise should both represent and nourish your audience’s relationship with you. Make money on YouTube. That means your merch should be one-of-a-kind.
To capitalize on the success of his viral comedy, Ninja Melk, Hawaiian YouTube personality Ryan Higa created his milk-based energy drink Ninja Melk. Ninja Melk’s appeal is broad enough for his website, where he sells t-shirts and other merch.
Pro-tip: You could have more merch ideas than you can stock. So start with one or two items to dip your toes in the water. However, make sure that your audience is involved in the decision-making process. Take a poll to find out what they desire. Alternatively, create hype by releasing one-time products in conjunction with significant subscriber-count milestones.
Step 2: Find and/or create your product.
You’ll almost always require a manufacturer, supplier, or wholesaler to make and deliver your product. Some vendors will give it to you, while others will handle inventory, shipping, and returns for you, saving you time and money.
If you’re not sure where to start, Shopify has a how-to on locating a brick-and-mortar firm to help you make your dream.
Step 3: create a store and a landing page.
To process purchases, you’ll need a second website. Refer to YouTube’s list of permitted merchandise sites if you wish to connect to it directly from your videos (which you should). Make money on YouTube.
Step 4: enable your YouTube Partner merchandise shelf operational.
YouTube Partners can now use the shelf feature to sell merchandise associated with their channel. Follow YouTube’s instructions to enable it if you’re eligible.
Step 5: Use your videos to promote your product.
This is where your charm enters the picture. In your videos, wear or use your merch. Feature viewers who have purchased and are utilizing the product. (We may term this ‘user-generated content,’ or even solid gold,’ if we were on another platform.)
Also, don’t forget to include end screens and cards with engaging calls to action, as well as a link to your store in your video descriptions.
Make money on YouTube, so don’t forget to express gratitude because it’s a courteous thing to do. But it’s also a time to remind folks yet again how fantastic and popular your product is.
Create content that is sponsored
To be an influencer, you don’t have to be on Instagram. Make money on YouTube. You don’t have to give YouTube a percentage of your earnings using the #sponcon approach. You deal with the brand directly, and they pay you now. It’s no surprise that it’s a popular way for YouTubers to make money.
Brands are likely to be interested in hearing from you if you have a large and engaged audience and your content is relevant to their target market.
For example, in the men’s lifestyle area, YouTuber Aaron Marino, a.k.a. Alpha M, is a big name. How big is it? His brand partnerships are so extensive that even his videos explaining them have brand partners.
Step 1: Look for a brand to partner with.
When it comes to the brands you work with, quality is crucial. Most likely, you already have a wish list of desirable brands. Make money on YouTube, make sure you refine your brand pitch before sending it, whether you’re shooting for the stars or building yourself up from the ground up.
Consider using an influencer marketing platform as well. These are websites that assist marketing teams in locating good influencers to work with. For example, FameBit was one of the first to focus on YouTubers.
Step 2: make to an agreement
Making money on YouTube videos is, on average, the most expensive type of sponsored content marketers can buy from influencers, according to a new report by influencer marketing platform Klear. Because video is more expensive to produce, YouTube influencers can charge more for their videos than for Instagram Stories or Facebook posts.
While your rate will vary depending on your audience’s size, engagement, and relevancy to your potential partner, you should know your worth before signing a deal.
Step 3: Make your #sponsored #ad as transparent as possible.
Advertisement is what sponsored content is. Make money on YouTube; that means you’ll need to make sure you’re following Google’s advertising regulations. If you’re American or British, you should know the FTC (United States) and the ASA (United Kingdom) standards.
Transparency is beneficial not only to your legal health but also to your audience’s relationship with you. A conspicuous disclosure feature on YouTube can help you make your audience aware that you’re advertising to them.
Step 4: Encourage your fans to subscribe to your YouTube channel
By using the Join button.
YouTube allows you to pay your viewers to become members of your channel. They get personalized emoji, badges, and access to members-only benefits like Live Chats with you in exchange.
Wintergatan, for example, is a Swedish band that constructs complicated marble machines and uploads videos to their YouTube channel about them. They acknowledge their channel members in their videos regularly. They also make what the money raised from membership dues is used for:
You’ll need to devise a marketing campaign to persuade people to join your organization, which may or may not contain multiple members. This feature, like Super Chat, is exclusively available to YouTube Partners.
Step 5: Encourage your fans to upgrade to YouTube Premium.
This is the last step in our plan because it only benefits your channel in a tangential list. You do, however, receive a portion of the membership money from YouTube Premium members who watch your channel. (They do the same thing with every other track they care about.)
Make use of crowdsourcing
Soliciting donations via the internet has become widespread. Many YouTubers make money through crowdfunding, whether it’s to build a steady stream of income from a pool of tiny monthly donations or to fund a personal, channel-related project.
Step 1: Set a crowdfunding account
How to make money on YouTube? You can choose from a list of permitted crowdfunding sites on YouTube.
Patreon is an excellent option for recurrent funding. Meanwhile, one-time campaigns for a new microphone, laptop, or… spleen work best on platforms like GoFundMe or Kickstarter.
Even well-known artists like Walk Off The Earth and Veronica Mars (okay, she’s a fictional character) have used Patreon to fund their projects, whether music videos or feature films.
Crowdfunding page for “Walk Off the Earth.”
Walk Off the Earth is the source of this information.
Step 2: Use your videos to promote your campaign.
Specify your objectives so that people know exactly what to expect once you’ve achieved them.
Also, provide appealing incentives that stack as your fans decide how much to donate.

Step 3: Extend your search outside YouTube.
A multi-platform campaign is essential for success. We can help you promote your YouTube channel (and, by extension, your crowdfunding campaign) in other places.
Make your content available to the media.
When a video becomes viral, every new order wants a copy to show its audience how to make money on YouTube. On the other hand, established media companies are well aware that they must pay for their use. And there you have it: another way to make money on YouTube.
Making sure you’re easy to find as a content creator can help you license your most successful work to the media.
Step 1: Update your contact information on your About page.
It’s impossible to predict when lightning will hit. Set up a generic email address that you can use for business queries even if you don’t have a company manager.
Step 2: Become a member of a video rights marketplace.
Jukin Media is an excellent place to start. Even if you don’t have a popular video like the Chewbacca mask lady (see below), the media frequently require current material to supplement their coverage. Make money on YouTube.
For example, if you have an entire film of a massive natural disaster, plane crash, or locust plague, Jukin has a complete archive of ‘newsworthy’ videos to which you can add.
What is the maximum amount of money you can make on YouTube?
Unfortunately, the answer to this age-old question is a vexing one: it depends.
Make money on YouTube As a 9-year-old YouTuber and multi-millionaire, Ryan Kaji’s story demonstrates, the sky is the limit. However, climbing into the seven-digit range takes a lot of time, hard work, and luck.
AdSense is a big part of YouTube’s revenue. Make money on YouTube; YouTubers are compensated for each ad view on their channel. However, rates differ by geography, demographics, and even industry (software ads may have a higher CPM than, for example, clothing ads).
YouTubers make money on YouTube between $3 and $5 per 1,000 video views on average through AdSense. If your channel reaches a large number of people, this can add up to a sizable sum. It’s not uncommon for big producers to make over $200,000 per month just from AdSense.
Even if your channel is trending and AdSense revenue is pouring in, keep in mind that YouTube fame is based on several factors, many of which are out of your control — the YouTube algorithm, as well as your audience’s interests and requirements —
Make money on YouTube Follow these seven ideas and branch out to ensure that your money on YouTube translates into a healthy and steady income. Even if your AdSense earnings decline for any reason, merch, branding deals, and crowdfunding can help you make money.
